Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about our karak chai blend and how to brew it.

What is karak chai?

Karak chai is a strong, milky black tea popular across South Asia and the Gulf region. It’s brewed longer and bolder than a typical cup, then simmered with milk and warming spices like cardamom and cinnamon.

Who is this blend for?

Anyone who wants a proper strong cup of chai, whether you grew up on karak, or you’re simply tired of tea bags that give up after one dunk.

How do I brew it?

Simmer a spoonful per cup in water and milk for a few minutes, strain, and sweeten to taste. A full brewing guide is coming soon to our Recipes page.

Is this the same as regular tea?

Not quite, karak chai is brewed stronger and for longer, and it’s always finished with milk and spice rather than drunk plain.
